ANNOUNCED: Neil Finn Support Act
Neil Finn will play the Wellington Opera House on Tuesday October 13, followed by a Christchurch show at the Isaac Theatre Royal on Wednesday October 14.
Since the age of 14 Liam has been releasing records and touring extensively. Firstly with his teenage band Betchadupa then as a solo artist releasing the much loved I’ll Be Lightning in 2007, followed by his sophomore release FOMO in 2011 and most recent musical venture, The Nihilist which exhibits a wonderful balance between the analog earthiness of I’ll Be Lightning and the otherworldly sonics that were inspired by the bustling metropolis of Brooklyn (USA) where Liam recorded the album. Currently residing in New York, Liam is now coming full circle returning home to perform solo on the songs that span his 18 years of songwriting.
The set-list for Neil Finn’s two intimate shows will range right across Finn’s extensive repertoire as he dips in and out of a vast catalogue that spans compositions he’s made famous with Split Enz, Crowded House, The Finn Brothers and through the course of his three solo albums, playing a mix of acoustic and electric, guitar and piano, as well as being joined on some songs by a full string section, arranged by renowned kiwi composer, Victoria Kelly.
Tickets for both shows are on sale now.
