The on-stage persona of Alejandro Rose-Garcia, Shakey Graves began as a private creative outlet. His folky, esoteric bedroom recordings quickly developed a cult following, and he soon began performing live as a one-man band, with a knack for storytelling and an enigmatic stage presence that immediately draws listeners into his strange narrative world.
With the release of his latest album And The War Came on Dualtone Records / Cooking Vinyl, Shakey Graves has become something much bigger. Now joined on stage by a backing band, Shakey Graves is selling out major venues around America, continuing as a regular on the international festival circuit including performances at Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, SXSW, an upcoming performance at the inaugural Auckland City Limits, and took home the Americana Music Association's “Emerging Artist of the Year” award in 2015.
This is Wellington’s time to witness firsthand his hypnotic live performances and understand the obsessive devotion Shakey Graves has inspired in the hearts of millions.
