Courtney Barnett, Hermitude & Tame Impala lead ARIA Award Noms

Wrap-up of all the nominees.

While Courtney Barnett led the nominations snaring 8 for herself and one win for Best Cover Art, Hermitude weren't far behind. The electronic duo celebrated 7 nominations handed out this morning with their #1 ARIA Album, Dark Night Sweet Light being nominated in the following categories: Album Of The Year, Best Group, Best Independent Release as well as the publicly voted categories for Best Australian Live Act and Best Video for ‘Through The Roof’. 

The other big name, Tame Impala pulled in 6 nominations with frontman Kevin Parker winning 2 Awards for Producer Of The Year and Engineer Of The Year for the band's smash hit album Currents.

Meanwhile Jarryd James, the Brisbane songwriter behind hit single 'Do You Remember' including Best Male Artist, Breakthrough Artist, Best Pop Release, Best Independent Release and the publicly voted category, Song Of The Year.

Sydney lads 5 Seconds of Summer picked up 2 noms for Best Group and Best Australian Live Act - voted for by the public, just use the hashtag #ARIAS5SOS to show your support. No word on whether the llama's will be found in time for the ceremony. 

And huge congrats to Giggle And Hoot for their Best Children's Album nomination.
