ABOUT THE ARTIST

Klinger formed in 1996 in Melbourne’s northern suburbs in a golden era of Australian indie rock. With songs like ‘Hello Cruel World’ and ‘Ben Lee’, they established themselves as wry, melodic and energetic – sort of Watsonia’s version of Weezer. By 2001, they had toured with Green Day, Everclear, Bodyjar and Motor Ace and had two songs in the Triple J Hottest 100, all without a record deal. After wrapping as a full time touring act in 2003, they have reformed their original line-up to tour nationally with old mates Motor Ace.
