Dedicated ACROD bays are available in the RAC Arena car park, next to the Suite/Mobility Entrance and lift on the Milligan Street exit. These provide direct access to the venue’s ground floor entries.

Hidden Disabilities Sunflower
RAC Arena supports the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program.

Quiet Room

A purpose-built Quiet Room is located on Level 1, opposite Door 17.

It offers bean bags, cuddle chairs, a calming water feature, and a safe space for those with sensory sensitivities.

RAC Arena uses a Wi-Fi-based hearing assistance system via your own mobile device. Visit the Information Desk on the ground floor for details. Please ensure your device is fully charged.

Noise-excluding headphones are also available from the Information Desk.

There is often a high demand for mobility parking for events at Spark Arena, so it's best to check your parking options early, and allow yourself plenty of time to get to the show on the day.

There is a limited number of nearby car parks designated specifically for mobility pass holder parking. These spaces are free but must be pre-booked, and they fill up quickly. Spaces are allocated on a first come first served basis and can be reserved once you have your event ticket.

The arena will email you as soon as your mobility parking spot reservation is confirmed.
For any enquiries, please contact the arena directly on 09 358 1250 during office hours Monday-Friday 9am-4:30pm, or via email, well before the event, parks often fill up months in advance so get in quick to avoid missing out.
Make sure you have the registration number of the vehicle you will be bringing handy, as well as a contact phone number and email address.
If all the arena’s mobility parks are fully allocated, the closest paid mobility parking is at the privately owned Arena Carpark on Tapora Street.
Drop-Off Areas

The designated drop-off area is on Quay Street by the pedestrian bridge/ramp, which leads directly up to the front plaza at Spark Arena. This drop-off point is approximately 500 metres up Quay St from the Quay St/Tamaki Drive intersection.

On some occasions, it may be possible for those displaying a valid mobility permit to use a drop-off and collection only zone at the front of the Arena on Mahuhu Cres. However, please contact the arena directly to confirm prior to your event, as this is subject to road closures on the day of show, depending on the size of crowd we are expecting.

Sensory and Quiet Rooms
Spark Arena’s quiet space is available on a show-by-show basis. If you would like to know whether this is available for your event, please feel free to ask one of the venues friendly security staff members when you arrive for your event – alternatively, you can get in touch with the venue via info@sparkarena.co.nz the week of the show for clarification.

Hearing Assistance

Spark Arena’s main bowl is equipped with a hearing assistance system; this is an FM transmission to a headset that can be pre booked. These must be requested in advance of the show prior to the event day and upon production approval.

This system was originally installed to enhance the sound for conferences and predominantly speaking events – it is less effective for concerts.

To request a hearing device, please email info@sparkarena.co.nz. Providing it is approved by production, your headset will be available to collect from the Internal Cloaking desk inside Entry B once the public doors open.
