Wolf Alice have come a long way since the North London quartet first emerged in 2013 as a young band holding a mirror up to their own emerging generation. Today, they stand as one of the most important and consistently acclaimed British bands of the past decade. Their fourth album The Clearing finds Wolf Alice at the peak of their powers — a confident, emotionally rich record that topped the UK Albums Chart on release last summer and since earned them a spot on the shortlist for the 2025 Mercury Prize, marking an extraordinary four nominations across their four-album career. Following the Grammy-nominated My Love Is Cool, the Mercury Prize-winning Visions Of A Life and the UK Number 1, BRIT Award-winning Blue Weekend, The Clearing signals a band who have transcended the trend cycle to arrive at a collection of songs that is truly timeless. Written in Seven Sisters and recorded in Los Angeles with Grammy-winning producer Greg Kurstin, The Clearing captures a moment of clarity, peace and hard-won self-knowledge, delivered with the ambition and melodic authority that have become synonymous with Wolf Alice. Since its release, the band have celebrated the album with their most ambitious global tour to date, playing landmark festival sets at Glastonbury and Radio 1’s Big Weekend before taking to some of the biggest stages of their career across North America, Europe, the UK and Ireland, and most recently Asia. Entering 2026, Wolf Alice have been recognised with BRIT Award nominations for Best British Group, Album of the Year and Alternative Rock, cementing their status as a generational band still growing, evolving and pushing forward together.
