Artist bio

Jack Johnson’s songwriting over the years has been a rare balance of quiet introspection and thoughtful observation. Born and raised in Hawaii where he grew up surfing and playing guitar, Johnson released his debut album Brushfire Fairytales in 2001. Since then he has released another six studio and two live albums that have sold in excess of 25 million copies worldwide. In Australia he has sold 1.2 million albums and had four albums at #1 including 2005’s hit, In Between Dreams

All The Light Above It Too is the seventh studio album for the multi-platinum-selling singer/songwriter and the follow-up to 2013’s From Here to Now to You. This latest offering finds Johnson returning to the stripped-back, homegrown feel of the four-track recordings that launched his career more than 17 years ago. While his longtime bandmates Adam (drums), Merlo (bass) and Zach (piano) accompanied him on several tracks, Johnson handled most of the instrumentation on his own, sculpting many of the songs around his graceful guitar performance. All The Light Above It Too will be released here on September 8.
